The honors internship program provided by the MDCPS Office of Community Engagement is an excellent opportunity for Juniors and Seniors to gain experience in their intended field of study. Students are placed with mentors who give them real-world experience and expose them to the daily undertakings of these fields, allowing them to get a good look into a possible future career. The eligibility requirements for this program are simple.
Students must have excellent attendance, a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA, and turn in an application with proof of insurance. Once accepted, students must also arrange their transportation to and from the internship, and complete 5 hours per week, resulting in 45 hours for each nine week grading period.
